Welcome to your conductive education professional organization! The 2005 North American Conductor and Program Administrator Workshop held at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan was truly the beginning of a year long process to from this new organization. Many thanks to Pattie Herbst for her leadership through the trying times of getting a large group to agree to bylaws and needed related organizational issues.

The Association of Conductive Education in North America (ACENA) was formed as the representative organization of programs and professionals providing conductive education within the North American continent. ACENA acknowledges and promotes the practice of conductive education.

We look forward to serving you and establishing ACENA as a dynamic proactive professional organization for conductive educators, that will grow and mature as time, opportunities and resources allow.
