CE Day 2023

Picture

National Conductive Education Day was on Thursday, February 16th, 2023. We encouraged centres and participants to get involved on social media using the hashtags #ICan and #StandUpforCE to promote the hard work our participants are doing!
We were thrilled to see all the photos, videos, and kind words about CE. Check out some of the posts we shared on our Facebook

Next CE Day: February 15th, 2024 - What are some ways you can celebrate CE day next year?
  • Have participants, families and staff write, record, draw, or describe what CE means to them and post it online or in your centre to share CE's impact and importance.
  • Tell local government, supporters, or other professionals about Conductive Education to raise awareness about our CE, it's benefits, and how it supports other approaches and therapeutic teams!
  • Join ACENA as a member or centre! ACENA Memberships are free this year. With a membership you will gain access to regular webinars, up to date CE research and events, and have the opportunity to participate in and provide feedback and input on CE events across North America.

Recent Research published on Conductive Education!
ACENA would like to send a heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Roberta O'Shea, Mary Jones, and Katie Lightfoot on their recent publication in Archives of Rehabilitation Research and Clinical Translation. Robbie and her team have been fierce advocates for CE and continues to help this wonderful approach grow within the rehabilitation world.
Please join us in congratulating the team on this accomplishment, and be sure to check out the article below!

ACENA recognizes that our members, centres, and practices span across Turtle Island and the traditional territories of Indigenous Peoples past and present. We honour with gratitude the land itself and people who have stewarded it throughout generations. This calls us to commit to continuing to learn how to be better stewards of the land we inhabit as well.
